WHAT IT COSTS

Due constantly changing exchange rates and inflation we cant publish an exact cost until we have done a route plan. However, as this is an important factor in peoples travel plans here is a estimate on what a typical expedition will cost.

As of March 2025 cost estimate for a spring or autumn trip to Shikkoku & Kyushu for 12 days is

Q. Whats included in the price?

A.Club membership. This covers the cost of organizing the trip and the accompanying guide.

The use of a Honda Dio 110cc scooter for the duration of the trip.

Equipment includes a detachable top case, Phone holder with USB port

Third party insurance (note this does not cover your expenses.)

Fuel (Petrol/Gasoline) We will refuel the bike every day.

Accommodation. This will be a single room in a business hotel for each night of the trip.

Couples can request a double room but this doesn’t affect the price as hotels in Japan charge by the number of occupants.

Ferry fares. Bike and rider

Tolls on the ShimaNami Kaido bridges and Mount Aso tollway

Q. Whats not included?

A. Airfares from your country

Airport transfers/domestic travel to Osaka

Entertainment such as night clubs, cinemas or theme parks.

Entry to any tourist attraction you might want to go to. Such as museums, rope bridges or cable cars.

Q. Why do I need a club membership? 

A. This is to avoid breaking any labour or tax Laws in Japan.

Overseas Tour guides require work permits which involves expense and lots of tedious paperwork. Tour companies require company registrations and tax accountants which is even more expense. A motorcycle club from another country does not need any of these things and so is the perfect structure for us. 

Q. Is there a group discount?

A. Yes.

The maximum number of riders in the group is 5. If you confirm a group of 5 you will get a 10% discount.

Q. How do I pay?

A. There are 2 ways

1 WISE debit card.  

This is the cheapest and easiest way. You can pay directly to the club WISE account in your local currency. You will get the best exchange rate and transfer fees this way. It is all done through the WISE app on your smart phone.

2 International transfer. 

You will need to use your bank or an online currency broker and transfer JPY to the club bank account.

Q. When do I pay?

A. Once the trip is confirmed you will be sent the payment details.

A deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required and should accompany the completed booking form. The balance of the tour price is payable 30 days prior to your departure date. If the balance is not paid by such date the company reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled. If a booking is made less than 30 days prior to the departure date, 100% of the total tour cost is payable upon booking.

The trip is cancelled by the club you will receive a full refund. (exchange rates and fees may affect the exact amount)

You cancel, you will receive a partial refund or a full credit. (see our cancellation policy)
